This sweet family has had a long journey towards meeting this newest, tiny member. These images are just a small slice of their family maternity session but I cannot get over just how stunning Danielle is as she waits for her daughter.

Right now we are smack in the middle of the liminal season of Advent where the whole world holds it breath waiting for a baby to be born. Waiting for Christmas is joyful anticipation because we already know the ending. The joy of waiting for our own children, however, is tinged with uncertainty, hope, worry, fear, doubt, excitement, hesitation, love, selflessness and a million other excruciating beautiful emotions.
