I'm Bergen

I am mama to four wild children born right here on our little homestead in Northern Virginia. I married their Papa, my childhood sweetheart, almost two decades ago and I’ve spent more of my life with him than without.

I am a birthworker and founder of Two Rivers Childbirth. I’ve walked alongside families in the journey of parenthood for more than 10 years. Birth is as human as we get.

I fall a little in love with each family I photograph.

I have a fine arts degree and the camera has always been my tool to make beauty of the chaos in my head.

Water and skin are my two favorite colors.

I believe in connection over perfection. I believe in the messy bits. I believe in the beauty of parenthood and in the wonder of childhood.
